Setup.exe (pozIRC installer):
A new and improved POZ IRC chat client application that works in all versions of Windows (Vista, XP, etc), just download Setup.exe and install. Once installed, you will see a pozIRC area in your Programs (Start -> Programs -> pozIRC -> ChatNow) and your Quick Launch bar will have an AIDS ribbon icon for you to click to start the program. There is no learning how to connect as this software will automatically connect you to our main HIV/AIDS chat channel, you can even chat in multiple HIV chat rooms at once (also join the Gay, Heterosexual, Affected, NonPOZ or Unmonitored channels). This free software package is completely uninstallable and will remove all traces when removed.

HIVchat.exe (pozIRC, no install):
This is a portable app version (no install, can be saved to floppy disk or USB Flash thumb drive and executed without leaving a trace on a PC) of pozIRC that works on Windows 98/XP (not Vista). Download and run HIVchat.exe anytime (just remember where you saved it for future use). This is a great choice for those wishing to not leave any evidence of HIV/AIDS on a PC (friends PC, family computer, shared PCs at job, etc) where other people have access. This file will not delete itself after running, but all temp files on PC are removed when the software is exited. If you get any errors of files missing, try the installer version (it has all the needed support files that Windows may be lacking).

HIVchat.exe and Setup.exe are freeware. They contain no malware, no spyware, no web hijacks, no internet toolbars, no spam and no malicious coding of any sorts. pozIRC was created in Microsoft's Visual Basic 6.0 programming language.

Download pozIRC to chat with our HIV and/or AIDS customized mIRC chat program or you can use our HIV/AIDS JAVA WEB-BASED CHAT ROOMS. You can also install a non-customized version of mIRC and learn how to connect HERE (suggested only for advanced users).

The pozIRC programs for download are named IRC.zip (32 bit) or pozIRC.exe (32bit, self extracting). They are the same thing, both are packed using WinZip. IRC.zip requires you have the WinZip software installed, yet pozIRC.exe does not require this added software. pozIRC.exe also will extract and run automatically each time used. THESE SOFTWARES ARE FOR HIV/AIDS CHAT ONLY!

IRC.zip Howto: Extract this file to a directory (created newly or a existing directory). Once extracted, go to the directory which you extracted IRC.zip too and locate the file called POZ.exe. This is the start file! Double click it and it will load and automatically connect you to the HIV/AIDS Chat Network and join cannel #HIV-AIDS without any setting up required. You must be connected to the internet for this program to work.

pozIRC.exe Howto: Double click pozIRC.exe and it will extract files and run automatically. When you close the chat program, it will delete files in your temp directory, to chat again, simply run pozIRC.exe again. This is the start file! Double click it and it will load and automatically connect you to the HIV/AIDS Chat Network and join cannel #HIV-AIDS without any setting up required. You must be connected to the internet for this program to work.

This is actually a modified version of mIRC which has been preconfigured to automatically connect to the HIV/AIDS Chat Server so there are no confusing server, port, name or other hard to understand settings. Once in a while it will popup a shareware registration warning at start up. Just close it (cancel) and the software will still function fine. You can register the software if you wish at www.mirc.com. If you already have a basic IRC client installed on your computer, you can connect to us using server: hiv-aids-poz.com and port: 6669. The general lobby is #HIV-AIDS.
